A review of Robert Mueller’s history should indicate that he is an honorable man. However, his handling of the Special Council Commission currently investigating the claims of Russian “Collusion” during the 2016 Presidential campaign must give pause.
Mueller was FBI director during much of the Obama administration, and had to be aware of the questionable transactions between the Russians and the Clintons during the Uranium One dealings, where 20% of America’s uranium production was allowed to be acquired by the Russians. Uranium is of course the base material for most nuclear energy production, including nuclear weapons. Apparently, there was an ongoing FBI investigation into that matter, with no published results. Mueller passed the baton of office to his protege, James Comey. Now, “Director” Comey failed to recommend an indictment of Hillary Clinton after he laid out a very strong case to do so during his well known press conference in July of last year. The U.S. Government has just announced that additional security measures must be implemented for all flights entering the U.S. from foreign destinations. According to Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officials, these additional measures will include security interviews conducted by an airline employee during the checkin process. However, is this just another case of a government agency reinventing the wheel?
For the life of me I can’t understand why voters pick some of the politicians they do. Case in point is Florida Congresswoman Frederica Wilson. She of the faux cowboy hats. I don’t expect politicians to necessarily be smarter than the citizens they represent, but I don’t expect them to be grossly stupid either. Representative Wilson joins two other female members of Congress in a pantheon of ignorance. She, along with Congresswomen Maxine Waters of California and Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas are three of the most outrageous examples of bigoted demagogues ever to worm their way into national politics.
Once again, various special interest groups, aided and abetted by what I have come to view as “American Pravda”, the mass media, are pushing what may well be a false narrative. Namely, that institutional police brutality is being committed against blacks in this country, and that African-Americans are being unfairly targeted for harassment and arrest by law enforcement personnel nationwide. Is this true?
Harvey Weinstein appears to be a really bad actor (pardon the pun). However, Hollywood, male and female, was perfectly willing to put up with his sexual proclivities until such time as it was politically correct to vilify him. Like a hoard of Social Justice Warrior lemmings, they are all streaming over a morally indignant cliff in their haste to get on the “Whack Harvey Bandwagon”. They are joined by their favorite Democratic Party politicians, who were gushing in their praise of Weinstein until his feet of clay were exposed for all to see, and it was now “inconvenient” to accept his lavish donations to their campaign coffers. 
President Trump recently addressed a meeting of the “Values Voter Summit” in Washington, DC. As part of his speech he assured the mainly Conservative Christian attendees of the conference that as far as he was concerned it was once again permissible to say “Merry Christmas” in this country. Good for him. However, that he should even have to make such a statement is indicative of how far down the secular-atheist rathole the left has dragged our nation, especially during the eight years of the Obama Administration.
I’m a history buff. I think that the subject is fascinating. The statement “Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it” has never been more applicable. Unfortunately, a very large portion of our population has been so dumbed down by our educators that they have no clue about anything other than what has happened in their lifetimes, and a distorted view of that to boot. The left has successfully taken over our educational system, and turned our schools and universities into leftist indoctrination centers, not education facilities.
I believe in God. In my lifetime I have seen too many things that cannot be explained without the presence of a Supreme Being who monitors, if not controls, our lives. Almost without exception, the Founding Fathers were believers as well. In the founding documents they beseeched The Almighty to protect and guide this country. In the years since He has done that, but as we have become more and more secular in our beliefs and practices will He continue to do so?
Had you ever heard of a “bump stock” before the events of the last week? Neither had I, but now those devices are on the lips of every anti-gun politician, media commentator and indignant Hollywood celebrity. Calls for the item to be banned abound, and on the face of it, it seems reasonable to do so. However, what’s the old saying? “Give them an inch and they’ll take a mile!” That seems very apropos to the situation we once again face after the Las Vegas massacre.
