Snakes and Scorpions.

I grew up in Colorado and spent most of my adult life in the Southwestern states of Arizona and New Mexico.  Among the creatures who inhabit that area are many varieties of poisonous snakes and scorpions. Some, like the rattlesnake pictured at left warn you of their presence.  Others, like the deadly coral snake, do not.  From an early age I was taught to be watchful and to avoid contact with them, which could possibly be fatal.

I didn’t have to understand their motives or consider that they had as much right to life as I did.  I didn’t have to apologize for my feelings toward them, and I didn’t have any qualms about stepping on a scorpion or shooting a venomous snake if they were a threat when I grew older.  I didn’t hunt them.  Rather, I avoided them whenever and wherever possible.  I have come to regard Muslims in the same way.

Every new manifestation of the underlying cruelty and violence associated with that belief system (I no longer consider it a religion) solidifies my attitude towards Islam and its proponents.  They are to be avoided, if at all possible, as potential threats to my life and safety.

The attacks on churches world wide by Muslims have been growing as their population increases.  From the inception of Islam in the sixth century, the only time Muslims have been relatively peaceful towards their neighbors is when they are weak or have been totally defeated by superior forces.  Organizations like C.A.I.R. would have us believe that Islam is a religion of peace, with only a small percentage of homicidally radicalized individuals giving the rest a bad name.  Nothing could be farther from the truth.

Due to the world wide size of the Muslim population, that “small percentage” probably amounts to something between 175 to 350 MILLION individuals who want “infidels” (as they refer to non-believers) either subjugated or dead.  Those are the poisonous snakes and scorpions of humankind and they must be treated as such, avoided if possible, destroyed if necessary.

Since it is impossible to determine whether individual Muslims are harmless or indeed “wolves in sheep’s clothing”, the only rational choice is to exclude them from civilized societies and leave them to quarrel among themselves, as they have for centuries in the Middle East.  They are basically incapable of blending into western or even eastern societies as long as they cling to the concepts put forth in the Quran and other doctrines of Islam.  They cannot become “citizens” of any nation which does not totally bend to the will of Allah.

Realizing this does not make people “Islamophobic”, it makes them realists.  Islam must either be reformed into a belief system which respects the rights of others, or quarantined, where its dangers can be prevented from infecting civilized societies.  Failure to recognize this basic truth puts non-Muslim countries in grave danger.  Many Europeans are currently learning this painful lesson.  Unfortunately, their “Liberal/Progressive” politicians are not.  Those people must be replaced, and a rational attitude must prevail, or Europe as we have always known it will cease to exist, replaced by a violent, intolerant horde, which was invited to invade their countries by “tolerant” politicians who ignored the lessons of history, which were plain to see.

Rush to Judgement?

The picture at left is of the Stabilizer Trim Cutoff Switches on Boeing 737 aircraft.  Turning them off, and leaving them off,  required by the Boeing 737 Max “Runaway Stablizer Emergeny Checklist”, as well as disconnecting the auto-throttle system, could have saved the lives of all aboard the two recent 737 Max-8 aircraft involved in the Ethiopian Airlines and Lion Air crashes.   As a person who has spent virtually all of his adult life involved with various aspects of the field of aviation, I am distressed to see what has happened in the last 6 months with regards to the 737 Max-8 situation.  In my opinion, we are once again allowing emotions, rather than facts, rule our lives.

Two fatal Max-8 crashes, both involving Third World airlines, have started a feeding frenzy among battalions of personal injury lawyers who are trying to make the case that the design of the Max-8 series was fatally flawed, and that Boeing, pressured by a desire to keep pace with it’s only major competitor, Airbus Industries, knowingly allowed the aircraft to go into production.  I believe that a dispassionate examination of the facts will lead to the unmistakeable conclusion that it was pilot error which caused both crashes, and while there are undoubtably issues with the design of the “MCAS” system, nothing which occurred with either Max-8 should have caused a fatal accident if the crews involved were properly trained and had sufficient skills in handling a sophisticated aircraft in an abnormal flight regime by manually flying the airplane without auto-flight inputs. Windows to the Soul?

There is a saying that “The eyes are the window to the soul”.   If that is true, what do these eyes tell us?  Well, ” Bat Sh** Crazy” might be appropriate, but I won’t use profanity in this blog.

So, what is it?  Overzealous, perhaps?  Or over demonstrative?   Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Adam Schiff do appear to have some off the wall beliefs……….Well, ok, REALLY off the wall beliefs, but does that take them out of the main stream of American political thought patterns?  I would posit only with reasonable, thoughtful Americans.  To the radical leftest fringe, they are perfectly normal.  As they say in New York City: “YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT?”

Well yes, actually, I do.   I don’t want this country run by a group of people who have totally lost track with reality.  Who believe that we should throw our Constitution under the bus. Who believe that we should be governed by international laws and subject to the jurisdiction of foreign courts.  Who believe we should have no national sovereignty, and totally open borders.  Who believe that illegal aliens should vote, and believe the average sixteen year old is mature enough to participate in the election process, not as a volunteer, but as a registered voter.

Those beliefs are totally foreign to the average “flyover country” American citizen.  AOC and Schiff,  joined by an ever increasing multitude of Democratic Presidential candidates led by the head Loony Tuner Bernie Sanders, are proposing an America which cannot be, and still remain the greatest country on the planet.  Free for all actually means free for none.  Except, that is, for a very small group of politicians who hold the reins of power.  Look to the Soviet Union, China, Cuba and Venezuela for a glimpse of how that really works in a totally “Socialist” society.

So I guess I have answered my own question. It really IS option number one above.

The Border Crisis

I live in coastal South Carolina, nearly 1400 miles from the border with Mexico, but I might as well live next door to it, considering how many people who I suspect have entered this country illegally are living in my area.  We have been told for many years, by politicians on both sides of the aisle, that illegal immigration isn’t a problem.  That lie, sitting on a political back burner for sixty years or more, has finally boiled over, and it’s creating quite a mess.  Will Congress, following President Trumps lead, finally come to the table and fix the mess?  Possibly, but I’m not optimistic.

The motivations for not addressing the illegal immigration are obvious.  For the Democrats, it’s simply a matter of bringing in enough potential voters who will support that party to keep it in power for the foreseeable future.  For the Republicans, it’s the lure of cheap labor, and the corporate profits that generates.  However, what both parties are ignoring is that an ever growing portion of Americans are realizing that this country can’t continue to import unlimited numbers of poorly educated people and continue to be the United States of America which has existed in basically the same form since it was founded.  That realization is what destroyed the anticipated “Blue Wave” in the 2016 elections, and allowed a non politician like Donald Trump to become our President.

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that low skilled labor, frequently paid  “under the table”,  drives down wage scales at the same time it takes jobs from American citizens.  It also doesn’t take a “Rocket Scientist” to realize that the illegals are over-stressing the social fabric of the country simply by their numbers.  Illegals have more children than citizens by a large margin, those children must then be cared for medically and educated by a system which is falling farther and farther behind other nations on the planet.  Continue reading The Border Crisis
