Minuteman – Circa 2021

President Trump is in trouble with the main stream media….Again.  This time, because of a comment made at a Wednesday evening press briefing, where he was asked if there would be a peaceful transition of power if he lost the election to Joe Biden.  Instead of the boilerplate “Of Course”, he commented something like “We’ll see”, and then went on to comment about the mail in ballot fiasco.  Why on earth wouldn’t he?

Trump has been pilloried by the Democrats and their lapdog media from the moment they realized Hillary Clinton had blown her overwhelming lead on the night of November 3, 2016.  He has suffered every indignity, from the fake “Dossier” to the impeachment proceedings, and everything in between. I don’t believe any President in modern history has been so savagely treated by the opposing party and the media.

Since the end of May, Democrat mayors, governors and other elected officials have allowed many of our cities to become defacto war zones, condoning and even encouraging anarchist groups like Antifa and Black Lives Matter as they looted, burned and rioted unchecked.  Police forces have been mocked and defunded by the very politicians who are supposed to support them and keep their constituents safe from violent criminal activity. In the wake of this destruction, gun and ammunition sales have skyrocketed around the country, and it isn’t only Caucasians, falsely labeled “White Suprematists” who are buying them. Dangers of the Mask

In the past, the purpose of wearing  a mask (except in the case of a medical or surgical mask) was to conceal an individual’s identity while committing a crime.  There were fictional exceptions, of course, The Lone Ranger and Zorro among them.   In real life, however, if you saw someone wearing a mask it generally meant they were up to something nefarious.  All that has changed with the Covid-19 pandemic.

Now, the wearing of a surgical mask or other type of face covering when in public is either suggested or required by law.  The problem is, there are still a lot of bad guys out there, and criminals of all types, including rioters and looters, are using the masks to prevent themselves from being identified, arrested and prosecuted.

I’m a bit taken aback that there hasn’t been more pushback against public officials who think they have the right, under law, to require mask wearing based on flimsy “science”, which is in truth nothing but the personal opinions of various individuals like Dr. Anthony Fauci or our Surgeon General Jerome Adams, who have argued on both sides of the matter. The Making of a RACIST!

I guess I’m a racist.  I didn’t used to be, but I have to admit that recent events have reformed my opinion on the subject.  When I watch cities burn, and looters get away with their thievery with few being arrested, I am angry.  Because I can see, in numerous videos, filmed in many American cities, that the majority of the looters are African-American, I have come to the conclusion that a significant portion of that community feel that they have the right to commit acts of violence without fear of retribution.  I am told by many talking heads in the media that even holding those simple beliefs make me a racist.

I am also told that all Caucasians are born racist.  It is in our DNA and can never be eradicated, only atoned for.  I must realize this original sin and bow before all other races, but most specifically blacks.  I must pay them financial reparations for the sins committed against their ancestors by others in the distant past.   Sins not committed or condoned by my own ancestors, who didn’t arrive on this continent until many years after slavery was eliminated and all those kept in bondage were freed. A “Person of Color”

I saw a Trump flag flying in front of a house up here in the South Carolina Piedmont.  It’s message was blunt, and couldn’t be clearer.  It said:

Trump 2020 – No More Bullshit!

That brought more than a chuckle.  It was another of those earthy “Jewels of Wisdom” moments which occasionally make my day in this insane election year.

I am told by self-righteous liberals that I must apologize to “People of Color” for my “White Privilege”.  Well guess what folks?  As you can see from my photo above, I am a person of color.   Yes, it happens to be what is called “White”, but in reality only Albinos can truly be called that.  The rest of us Caucasians are actually various shades of pink.

Now, as to the “Privilege” label……  Perhaps those in society who come from wealthy families deserve that title.  They come from all races by the way, white, brown, black, red and yellow.  Most of us on this planet who have gained any measure of success in life have done so through hard work and perseverance, not because of any “privilege” bestowed by race or gender.  So, I reject that concept totally, and so should any person who has their head screwed on straight.

When he was elected as our 44th President in 2008, Barack Obama had a golden opportunity to finally put to bed the racial divides which had plagued our country for decades.  He was of mixed racial background himself.  The fact that he could be elected to our countries highest office proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that we had moved on from the prejudicial attitudes of the past.  Obama wasn’t elected by blacks, although they obviously voted for him in overwhelming numbers.  He was elected by a coalition of Americans of all races and creeds, and that included many on the middle or right side of the political spectrum.  Sadly, that golden opportunity was wasted.  Instead of bringing us together, he appointed someone like Eric Holder to be his Attorney General.  In one of his first speeches in office, Holder stated that in matters of race, Americans were basically a nation of cowards!  It went downhill from there, and by the end of his second term in office, Obama left this country more racially divided than it was the day he was first sworn in.
