Just when I think that the “Trump Derangement Syndrome” has run it’s course, a new example appears to prove me wrong.  The latest piece of lunacy and bad taste came from so-called “comedian” Kathy Griffen where she is shown holding a bloody mask of Donald Trump as if it was a beheading trophy of a proud Jehadi.  This is so tasteless as to be unbelievable.  Yes, this is “protected” under the First Amendment to our Constitution.  However, if it ruins her career it would be poetic justice.

The left’s visceral hatred of an individual they highly praised only a few years ago, before he entered the political arena in 2015 is astounding.  If those on the right had done anything even vaguely as offensive during the administration of Barack Obama they would have found the FBI at their door and a Grand Jury handing down an indictment for their arrest and prosecution.

The left’s preoccupation with verbally annihilating those who disagree with them reminds me of a saying from the play Antigone by Sophocles :  “Whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad”
