The photo at left has been floating around the internet.  Like all information, particularly from that medium, we must be careful to not take it at face value, as there is indeed much “Fake News” out there.  However, I imagine that it is true there are a number of Marine Corps members who would be proud to serve at the White House under President Trump, a man who views them as part of the solution, not part of the problem.

On to a less glorious group, the Hollywood loony bin crowd.  Last night, at their latest self congratulatory bacchanal, the Academy Awards, they couldn’t even get the Grand Prize award winner straight.  When it came time to name the winner of Best Picture, the dynamic male-female duo presenting that award was handed the wrong card.  Instead of figuring out that it was a card for Best Actress, not Best Picture, the male pompously handed it to the female who proudly announced “La La Land”!  Oops, wrong!  It was supposed to be “Moonlight” an “important film” about the struggles of a young black man growing up in the slums of Miami, not some fluff piece musical about “making it” in the Los Angeles- Hollywood corridor.  Obama is gone, but not forgotten.

So, as we mere mortals go through our daily lives, we should ponder to whom we should give our respect and strive to emulate, a bunch of people who make their living pretending to be somebody else, or members of an organization that has spent the last 242 years defending our country and assuring that self important people like the Hollywood crowd can continue to make fools of themselves in peace.
