As we enter the second month of the Biden-Harris regime ( I refuse to call it an administration ) it is becoming more and more apparent that the Democrats don’t give a damn about this country. In fact, those in top positions of power within the Democratic Party actually hate it, and want to remake it into something completely different. Remember, the words of former president Barack Obama when he was running for office in 2008, we want to “Fundamentally Transform America”. Now, as was the case at that time, far too few Americans are not asking the simple question: “Into what”?
Dr. King wanted us to be judged not by the color of our skin, but by the content of our character. That would make us a real meritocracy, where those who worked harder to improve themselves would naturally rise to the top in their chosen professions and neighborhoods. The Democrats, everything they say to the contrary, don’t want that. They don’t want equality, but rather equity. I’ll save you the time of looking those two words up.

The quality of being fair and impartial. A branch of law that developed alongside common law in order to remedy some of its defects in fairness and justice, formerly administered in special courts
On the face of it, it might appear that these are basically the same thing, but they’re not.
Being “equal” in the eyes of the law and society, implies that we all have the opportunity to succeed in life. We are guaranteed the rights to “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness”. We are NOT guaranteed that we will succeed in obtaining those goals. That’s up to us.
The concept of “equity” presumes that we are not all “equal”, so the thumb of fairness must be applied to the scales of justice to assure we will indeed have the same outcome, even though we haven’t earned it by our efforts. That’s what the Democrats want, and it’s contrary to all the principles our nation was founded upon. If that’s what they truly believed, I could give them a pass, but it’s not. Their real goal is to divide us back into tribal groups which will work against each other and keep the Democratic Party in power forever.
To accomplish that goal, they will lie, cheat and steal, believing it to be for “the greater good”. Every despotic regime in recorded history has done this, and it has never worked out well for the society it controlled with an iron fist. The actions taken by Democrats in the November and January elections prove they are still using the same playbook. Do whatever is necessary to win, and then immediately use that power when you have it.
By that method, they gave us Obamacare in 2009, and are planning to change the very makeup of this nation in the next two years. They will probably lose control of the House and Senate in the 2022 midterm elections, but they don’t care. They will shove through everything they can in the meantime, and it will seriously damage our country.
Think about what they have in mind. Open borders during a pandemic. Over 110 people who have tested positive for Covid-19 have been nonetheless released into our country. The stand-down orders for ICE and the Border Patrol are allowing convicted criminals to remain in the country, and tens of thousands more illegal immigrants to enter and remain here. These low skill or no skill individuals will continue to depress wages for American workers and will be a further drain on our social services programs at a time they are already straining to keep up with demand.
Amnesty and a pathway to citizenship for tens of millions of people who knowingly entered our country illegally and remained here. The consequenses of the “Chain Migration” and more illegal immigration which will follow such a course of action is catastrophic.
Shutting down the Keystone Pipeline, thereby losing thousands of high paying jobs and ultimately leading to higher energy prices for our citizens.
Drugs like fentanyl and crystal methadone are flooding across the border in ever increasing quantities, while deaths from drug overdoses are skyrocketing in many areas of the country. This is particularly true in states which are Democrat controlled and have strict Covid lockdowns in place.
In many of the same areas, schools remain closed, and children, especially those from low income families, are suffering from a laundry list of psychological disorders. Suicides or attempted suicides are a serious issue with these kids. Yet, against all scientific evidence, the teachers unions are demanding that the schools remain closed, with the teachers receiving full pay and benefits.
Bowing to the demands of LGTBQ groups, biological males are being allowed to compete as females in sports which they soon will totally dominate, pushing biological girls and women to the sidelines. Imagined “identities” are allowing biological males to use women’s restrooms and locker room facilities, including showers.
Peoples lives are being ruined by the “Cancel Culture” which has been fostered and supported by the Democratic Party, and implemented by social media platforms like YouTube, Twitter and Snapchat which censor dissenting opinions while allowing slanderous accusations to remain in place. Symbolic “book burnings” are occurring, with books written by authors such as “Dr. Seuss” being banned as racist or hate speech.
The Democrats even had a bill to allow sixteen year olds to vote in our elections. Thankfully it failed to pass this time, but what about in the future? These children are not allowed to be prosecuted as adults when they commit even a heinous crime, but are mature enough to vote? More insanity from the left.
In this time of moral turpitude, is there anything we can do to turn the Ship of State around before it hits the iceberg of insanity the Democrats have placed in its path? Short of armed rebellion, all I can think of is to speak out loud and clear to those who represent you at the state and federal level. We must tell them that the present direction we are headed is unacceptable, and that we will hold them accountable for their actions. Anyone who votes for these insane measures should be removed from office by whatever means necessary, be it recall or replacement in the next election cycle.
We must also not be afraid to speak out to our friends, neighbors and other members of our community when we hear them say something which we believe to be false. Cancel Culture only works if a majority of the population accepts the process. Businesses large and small must be held accountable if they bow to the pressures of a minority of the population and so deny the rights of the rest of us. This country and what it has always stood for is worth fighting for, but it won’t be an easy task. Those who hate it are vicious and cunning. They will do all in their power to win. Those who love this country must do likewise. It is difficult to understand why the Democrats would do things which are obviously damaging this country, but remember. They don’t care!
