Iraq is back in the news.  This time because there were violent demonstrations at our embassy in Baghdad where pro Iranian militia fighters were joined by thousands of others chanting “Death to America”.  This was brought on after U.S. airstrikes over the weekend reportedly killed 24 members of an Iranian backed militia group.

I believe it is time we give up trying to bring any sort of peace and stability to the Middle East Region.  The various religious groups which inhabit the area, most notably the Shia and the Sunni, have been killing each other almost from the inception of Islam in the seventh century.

We have wasted far too much blood and treasure trying to fix an unfixable problem.  Enough!  We should urge President Trump to follow his best instincts, ignore the advice of the military-industrial complex, and get the hell out of the area, with the exception of controlling the seas.  But first, he should advise their leaders in private that if one more incident against our country or it’s citizens anywhere in the world, occurs after we are gone, that we will deal with the perpetrators in the severest possible manner, but from afar.  We will use drones, cruise missiles, airstrikes and even “MOABS” to utterly destroy them.

Finally, make it absolutely clear that if ANY sort of nuclear weapon is used against this country or it’s real allies in other parts of the world, we will make their territory, as the saying goes,: “Flat, Black, and Glow in the Dark!”, and we will start with Mecca.
